The British Society of Perfumers is sad to report that John Middleton has passed away.
John worked for Givaudan for many years and played an important role in the British Fragrance Association, as both Technical and Executive Chairman and as such was instrumental in representing the industry at the highest levels and helped make IFRA UK what it is today.
Outside the UK, he served as Chairman of the IFRA Scientific Committee and the IFRA JAG for many years.
We would like to send our condolences to his family and friends.
Details of the memorial service for John have been announced:
The service will be at 12 noon on Tuesday December 18th at St Mary’s Church, Fordingbridge, Hampshire, England (SP6 1AB), followed by informal and light refreshments at the church hall, which is across the road. If people plan to join, the family would like to know, so please contact julie@ifrauk.org and she will pass on the details of those wishing to attend.
