Osmocurator, Stephanie Bakouche, will be back with us in London and Manchester to give you an opportunity to (re) discover the hidden treasures of perfumery, including fragrances that are no longer available.
2023 is a special year for us, so in celebration of the British Society of Perfumers 60th Anniversary, we will travel back in time via scent and explore fragrances from the era – ‘sniffing’ scents from the 1950’s to the 1970’s.

Meet the Presenter
It’s impossible to know exactly why, but at the age of five Stéphanie Bakouche proclaimed “When I grow up, I want to make perfumes”!
That inexplicable moment of childhood clarity, like being struck by lighting, would set her course in life.
As a young graduate from ISIPCA, she worked in every job possible related to her passion; with renowned companies like Takasago and Givaudan in fine fragrance evaluation, on the sales floor for Cartier, Kenzo and Mugler and in Quality Control for Hermès.
Regulatory, creative and development work include; Invasion Barbare for MDCI in 2005, Rose Privée for L’Artisan Parfumeur in 2015, Rose Saltifolia and Osmanthe Kōdōshan for Maison Crivelli In 2021 and Noir Exquis for L’Artisan Parfumeur, which was nominated for the 2016 Fifi Awards.
Alongside her creative work are the perfumery workshops to share the history and her passion of perfumery with the public; Stephanie is also the Perfume Creation teacher in École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris.Stéphanie’s fierce love, strength and passion give her a uniquely eclectic approach in her work, allowing her to make the most of all the rewarding and enriching encounters throughout her career. She honed her skills studying with the brilliant and uncompromising Bertrand Duchaufour, for seven years.
Passing on and sharing knowledge is close to Stéphanie’s heart, and since 2013 she has been an active member and curator of the Osmothèque – the repository of fragrances in Versailles. Now based in Grasse, a vital step in the path of perfumery, this young perfumer created Sensaba, the home of her creations.
