Meet our speakers below!
Francis Kurkdjian
After composing Jean Paul Gaultier’s bestseller Le Male at the age of 25, Francis Kurkdjian, a graduate of ISIPCA, created his bespoke perfume workshop in 2000 without ever ceasing to put his know-how and sensitivity at the service of the greatest fashion designers (Jean Paul Gaultier, Rick Owens, Hedi Slimane, Alber Elbaz or John Galliano) or some of the most legendary houses (Dior, Givenchy, Guerlain or Saint Laurent). In 2009 he co-founded his eponymous house with Marc Chaya, and in 2017 the company joined the LVMH Group. In 2021, he was appointed Creative Director of Perfumes for Parfums Christian Dior. Francis Kurkdjian was nominated Chevalier des Arts et Lettres in 2008. His perfumes have been awarded numerous international prizes.
Sylvie Jourdet
Drawn to cosmetic formulation, Sylvie Jourdet joined ISIPCA where she became passionate about perfume and changed direction. As an olfactory advisor to brands, she discovered that there were few structures welcoming young artists who were off the beaten track. In 2000, she created her own laboratory and composed perfumes in a creative and technical approach. Her commitment to this profession led her to the Presidency of the French Society of Perfumers from 2005 to 2009 and from 2013 to 2017. She is now its Honorary President. She is also Member of Cosmetic Valley. Sylvie Jourdet’s involvement and her efforts to promote the profession of creative perfumer and French know-how have earned her the rank of Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur. Several creations for niche brands such as Histoires de Parfums, Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier, Burren Perfumery, Sabon, Olibanum, Sprekenhus… for the olfactory communication: BNP, Orange, Tour de France, Bôneur, etc.
If you are a Perfumer yourself, we’d love to see you there.
If not, we would be incredibly grateful if you could support the BSP by sharing this invitation with Perfumers in your network who may be interested in attending.
