For those of you who I haven’t had the pleasure of working with closely yet, my name is Hayley Forster. My journey in this industry began back in 2005, leading fragrance development and technology across global portfolios at both P&G and Unilever, before I transitioned into the entrepreneurial world in 2017 to found my own consultancy, Pretty Little Aroma.
Over the last few years, this Society has truly become my professional home. I have had the distinct privilege of serving on the BSP Council for the past four years, stepping into the role of Honorary Secretary last year, and more recently, serving as Vice President. Stepping into the role of President is an absolute honour and a privilege—one that I do not take lightly.

I am incredibly excited about what lies ahead. I am looking forward to this new chapter, to continuing to catch up with our existing members, and to welcoming the many new faces who are joining our growing society.
Crucially, I am looking forward to continuing the wonderful conversations and maintaining the high calibre set by our wonderful Past President, Denise. Denise has done an absolutely amazing job during her tenure; she took the rich foundations of this society and elevated us to a truly exceptional standard, and we owe her a massive debt of gratitude for her leadership. On a personal note, I am incredibly grateful for all the guidance, trust, and support she has given me over the past few years.
As I take on this position, I know that strong leadership requires a strong partnership. To that end, I am very pleased to share that following our AGM proceedings, Will Andrews has officially stepped into the role of Vice President for the upcoming term.
Council Updates
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our re-elected members of Council for their continued dedication and commitment to the Society: Denise McLaverty, Julie Dunkley, Virginie Daniau, Elizabeth Dowden, Christina Koutsoudaki, Jean-Charles Mignon, and Matthieu Meneuvrier.
At the same time, a very warm welcome is extended to our newest members of Council, Will Andrews and Beverley Jackson-Moore. I am so looking forward to working alongside all of our fantastic Council members to drive our initiatives forward.
I would also like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Peter Malton, who is stepping down from Council. Having served the Society over many years with immense hard work and dedication—including his vital leadership as a past President and, more recently, as our Treasurer—we are all truly grateful to Pete for his outstanding service and lasting contributions.
